It’s the FA Women’s National League 2023-24 Big Kick-Off

The FA Women’s National League commences its 2023/24 campaign on Sunday 20 August, many games now with late kick-offs due to England’s bid to be world champions.

Beaten in the Championship play-off last term, Nottingham Forest begin at their new Grange Park home against newcomers Stourbridge. Derby County host Northern Premier runners-up Wolves, West Brom kick off at their new Redditch United base.

Second in the Southern Premier last time round, Ipswich Town start afresh at promoted Cardiff City Ladies, Hashtag United are the other side stepping up and first visit Chatham Town (formerly Gillingham). Plymouth Argyle play Billericay Town at their new Devon FA base in Newton Abbot, relegated Coventry United – now known as Rugby Borough – are home to London Bees.

Notts County return to the fourth tier with a Division 1 Midlands clash at Lincoln City, Sutton Coldfield Town’s first game at this level comes at home to  Leek Town.

Chester le Street Town and FC United are both back up to Division 1 North, hosting Durham Cestria and Doncaster Rovers Belles respectively. Barnsley get things underway at a new base of Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park, Leeds move back to Garforth Town AFC, while United’s old home ground of Tadcaster Albion hosts the York City v Hull City clash.

AFC Sudbury make their FAWNL bow at home to Norwich City, while Worthing’s comes with home advantage over AFC Wimbledon. Also in Division 1 South there’s the Cambridge derby, Haywards Heath Town (formerly Crawley Wasps) take on Ashford Town and London Seaward play at their new Oakside Stadium home of Redbridge FC.

Torquay United start life in Division 1 South West on the road at Portishead Town, Abingdon United’s FAWNL debut is away at Swindon Town, while Southampton Women meet Moneyfields at their new venue of Test Park Sports Ground.
