Ipswich Town and Luton Town both beat higher division visitors in their delayed Adobe Women’s FA Cup 3rd Round ties.

Luton Town 1-0 Keynsham Town
Ipswich Town 3-0 Lewes
Hull City 1-4 Wolverhampton Wanderers

FAWNL Southern Premier Ipswich Town sent second-tier Lewes crashing out of the cup, to set up a home tie with high-flying Championship side Charlton Athletic in the fourth round on 14 January. Kyra Robertson’s 35th-minute opener was added to by Lenna Gunning-Williams in first-half stoppage time, Ruby Doe further extending the lead before the hour mark.

Eastern League Luton Town knocked out FAWNL Division 1 South West side Keynsham Town with a late goal, to set up a massive home tie with Brighton who are four tiers above them. Sam Khan rose to head the Hatters one up with seven minutes of the ninety to go, to see off their higher-division visitors.

Wolves had to come from behind against ten-player Hull City to set up a trip to Reading. The Tigers’ Hope Knight was shown a straight red card for her challenge on keeper Bec Thomas, who had to be replaced. Ellie Tanser headed the underdogs into a half-time lead, Amber Hughes’ tap-in made it one apiece by the hour. With 17 minutes left, Destiney Toussaint was fouled inside the area and Anna Morphet converted the penalty to put Wolves ahead. Sophie Bramford and Beth Merrick added late goals, as Wanderers progressed 4-1.
