Hashtag United hit FAWNL Southern Premier Division top spot

Hashtag United moved top of the FA Women’s National League Southern Premier Division with the only goal of the game at Cardiff City LFC.

NORTHERN PREMIER DIVISION

AFC Fylde 2-2 Halifax

Fylde collected a third point of the season in a 2-2 tie with Halifax, that lifted them off the foot of the table. They did let slip a 2-0 interval lead created with goals by Clara Samson and Ginny Lackey, Darcie Greene and Shauna Legge replying with the leveller coming deep in added time.

SOUTHERN PREMIER DIVISION

Cardiff City LFC 0-1 Hashtag United (Att: 292)

Hashtag United knocked Portsmouth off the top of the table, with the only goal of the game away at Cardiff City Ladies scored by Gemma Baker before the half-hour mark.

DIVISION 1 MIDLANDS

Northampton Town 3-0 Sheffield FC (Att: 146)
Leek Town 1-1 Notts County (Att: 43)

Alex Dicks, Kim Farrow and Jess Evans were on target as fifth-placed Northampton Town defeated basement side Sheffield FC. Leek town remain goal-difference ahead of Notts County, after the sides shared the points. Nicola Russell gave County a second-half lead, which Manuela Delle wiped out from the spot.

DIVISION 1 NORTH

Norton & Stockton Ancients 3-2 York City (Att: 105)

Norton moved level on points with eighth-placed York City, having edged them 3-2 for a first win of the season. Bianca Owens got all their three goals – including a second-half penalty – which proved to be the winner.

DIVISION 1 SOUTH EAST

Ashford Town (Middlesex) 2-1 Worthing (Att: 55)
Cambridge United 2-3 Queens Park Rangers (Att: 135)
London Seaward 1-0 Haywards Heath Town (Att: 25)

QPR overtook Cambridge United on goal-difference, beating the U’s 3-2 away with a late Emily Hill effort to go third. Ashford Town also went above their opponents, coming from behind to beat Worthing 2-1 and rise to fifth. Brogan Moore levelled and substitute  Martha Riley scored the decider. London Seaward saw off Haywards Heath Town with a first-half free kick from Maisie Cannon.
