Gorleston Greens Going Up Again

Their 8-0 home win over Long Stratton on Sunday 2nd April continued a perfect league record that now stretches to eleven straight wins.

Sam Hunn hit a hat-trick, Leanne Smith bagged a brace and there was a goal each for Beth Turner, Hannah Croft and Kayleigh Byrne.

The result put the Greens 17 points clear of second-placed Stalham Town but more importantly beyond the grasp of Sprowston, who had been the last side able to catch the runaway leaders.

Meanwhile in Division 1, Thorpe United top the table ahead of King’s Lynn Town but with several games still to go and in Division 3 it’s really tight, with East Coast, Toftwood United, Wymondham Town Reserves and Tavern all challenging for the championship.
