Goalkeeper Shae Yañez signs for Crystal Palace Women

Shae Yañez has joined Crystal Palace from Bristol City, bringing the experience of playing in both the WSL and NWSL.

She played for San Diego Wave and Washington Spirit, previously spending three seasons with London City Lionesses and keeping a club-record 24 clean sheets in 72 appearances, to help them finish Championship runners-up in 2021/22.

Palace’s Head of Women’s Football Grace Williams told cpfc.co.uk: “We are delighted that Shae has decided to chosen to sign for Crystal Palace, where she will continue her time in the Women’s Super League.

“Shae is known as a great goalkeeper with a great character, and I am sure Palace supporters will join me in lending her a warm welcome to the club.”

Yañez added: “I’ve always been a big fan of Palace, so I’m excited to get started here.

“It’s just a great club in general and they have great ambition. Getting promoted, you could see the fight in them, and I’m excited to be a part of that.”
