The winners of the FSA Awards in association with BeGambleAware will be announced on Friday 12 March in an online event.
Arsenal’s Vivianne Miedema is looking to repeat her 2019 Women’s Player of the Year award, and is shortlisted alongside England internationals Beth England and Fran Kirby.
Fans voted for their favourites across a range of different categories, including the best writers, podcasts and online football media.
The Sky Sports duo of Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville do battle again in the Pundit of the Year category, up against Ian Wright, Micah Richards, Alex Scott and Roy Keane.
There will also be recognition for a range of ‘Lockdown Heroes’, those football clubs, fan groups and individuals who have gone the extra mile in the past year to support their fanbases and local communities through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kevin Miles, chief executive of the Football Supporters’ Association, said: “Fans are a huge part of the game at all levels, and the FSA Awards in partnership with BeGambleAware has given the fans the chance to have their say on the very best in all aspects of the game. We look forward to crowning some worthy winners this week.”
The awards will be announced on social media and the FSA’s website throughout the day on Friday 12 March, as COVID-19 restrictions have meant the annual event, which has been held in London since 2013, will be held virtually for the first time.
