England Women U-19s overturned a two-goal deficit against Germany at St. George’s Park but in the end had to settle for a 3-3 draw.

Head coach Amy Merricks changed virtually the whole team from that which beat Denmark 5-0 on Wednesday, with Brooke Aspin the only player to start again in the friendly.

Hamburg’s Melina Kruger struck twice to give Germany a 2-0 interval lead but straight after half-time, Poppy Pritchard pulled one back from a through ball.

Lexi Potter found Pritchard who took successfully on the defence to brings the scores level.

From a Katy Watson cross, it was then Pritchard who picked out Potter to fire into the top corner, putting the Young Lionesses ahead for the first time.
