Eight in a row for Hibs & Kilmarnock’s U-23s

Hibernian U-23s have now won all their eight games in Scottish League 1 North, a record matched by new Division 2 West leaders Kilmarnock U-23s.

East Fife went top of SWFL 1 North when taking the points at Dee Ladies.

Dunfermline Athletic defeated hosts Westdyke 2-1 with a Jenna Sexton brace to go within three points of Dundee United, who dropped to second.

Aberdeen U-23s ran out 8-1 winners at Raith Rovers to go fourth on goal-difference.

Hibernian U-23s went nine points clear at the top of SWFL 1 South with a 2-1 win against Thistle Weir, which was their eighth straight victory. Kirsty Morrison’s opener for Hibs was cancelled out but Shannon Leishman struck a late winner.

Celtic Academy jumped up three places to second, their 5-0 result at lowly Morton lifting them above both Rangers Development and Cumbernauld Colts on goal-difference.

Queens Park edged a seven-goal thriller with Falkirk, Cari Johnston twice on target for the latter before signing for Hibs U-23s.

Cumbernauld Colts host Blackburn United at Broadwood Stadium on Tuesday, 7.45 ko.

The only Division 2 North tie saw Stonehaven win 3-1 at Turriff United to climb to second spot on goal-difference. United struck first from distance but Sarah Campbell levelled, with Alannah Milne and Lisa Penny also getting on the scoresheet.

Kilmarnock U-23s replaced Ayr United as Division 2 West leaders when they extended their winning start to eight games, coming away from Pollok United 5-3 victors.

Bishopton thrashed ten-player Stranraer 12-1 to rise two places to third, Danielle Mullen netting six and Laura Inglis three.

Murieston United sent East Kilbride to an 8-1 defeat as they moved up to sixth in Division 2 Central.

Broxburn Athletic doubled their points tally in style, coming out on top in a 10-4 goal-fest with West Park United. Louise Davidson dominated with eight goals, Jemma Gilbertson and Danielle Bennett adding one each for the home team.

Stenhousemuir won 3-1 at home to Hawick United with the aid of two own-goals, Rebecca Robertson getting the other goal for the hosts.

Hamilton Academical U-23s welcome West Park to Hamilton Palace Sports Ground for a 7pm start on Tuesday.

The leading pair in Division 2 East stepped three points ahead; Kelty Hearts took the points 5-1 at Edinburgh Caledonia with four goals for Claire Thomson and Spartans Development defeated hosts Dundee City 4-2 with Leah Boak bagging a brace.

Caley next host Lothian at Broughton High School, 7.15pm on Tuesday.
