Durham Women have signed former Liverpool and Wellington Phoenix goalkeeper Rylee Foster from Everton in a permanent deal.

She spent three years with Liverpool before joining Australian A-League side Wellington Phoenix in 2023, then playing for Everton for the first half of this season.

On the international stage, she has represented Canada at U-17 and U-20 levels.

Foster told durhamwfc.co.uk: ‘I think being in the transfer window is full of uncertainty but I’m really happy to be in the North East, it’s a new environment, a new culture to get used to.

‘The first few days, I’ve really enjoyed it, and I’m excited to get started with the girls.’
