Crystal Palace have signed 22-year-old defender Lia Cataldo after she helped Bristol City win the Barclays Women’s Championship last season.
The full-back also helped Leicester City into the WSL in 2020/21, and has been capped by England up to U-19 level.
Cataldo told cpfc.co.uk: “I’m really excited to get started. The girls have made me feel so welcome and there are great facilities here – I’m settling in already. I feel like it’s going to be a big year to kick on for Palace.
“I feel like this team can achieve a lot. There is just so much potential here, and I’m excited to see what will happen.”
Head of Women’s Football Grace Williams said: “I am delighted to see Lia join Crystal Palace and would like to warmly welcome her to the club.
“Having worked with Lia before, I know her to be a player of both great quality and potential. With her previous experience of success in this division, I am confident she will play a big role in our bid to push up the Championship table this coming season.”
