CoinPoker has pulled back the curtain on its Global Online Poker Championship, and there’s a lot here for anyone curious about jumping into online poker for the first time. The series runs August 23 to September 28, built around a $50 million prize guarantee and a format designed to welcome players at every level rather than just the high rollers.
A Championship Built Around Where You’re Playing From
One of the nicer touches in the Global Online Poker Championship is the regional scheduling. Rather than one fixed timetable, CoinPoker has set up three separate schedules tuned to primetime hours in Asia, Europe, and Latin America.
That means players get to compete when it actually suits their day, rather than being pushed into odd hours to catch the best action.
Three buy-in tiers run through the series too, so newer players and bigger spenders both have a lane that fits their comfort level.
Three Main Events for Three Different Bankrolls
The GOPC’s biggest event is the $530 Main Event, carrying a $3 million guarantee and rewarding its top finishers with Gold, Silver, and Bronze Medals. Day 1 flights mostly run on Sundays, and the final table plays out September 28.
For a friendlier entry point, the $55 Global Main guarantees $1 million with daily starting flights, wrapping up September 21.
And for anyone dipping a toe in for the first time, the $11 Mini Main guarantees $250,000, also with daily flights and a September 21 finish. All three award the same medal structure, so the smaller buy-in doesn’t mean a smaller shot at recognition.
Medals for Every Stake, Not Just the Big Buy-Ins
Beyond the three Main Events, CoinPoker is running more than 700 Medal Events across the six weeks, each handing out Gold, Silver, and Bronze to the top three finishers.
Winners get a real medal alongside a digital one that stays in their CoinPoker Trophy Cabinet for good. Every medal also counts toward the Podium Race leaderboard, and CoinPoker has made a point of confirming that a Gold at a low-stakes table scores exactly the same as a Gold in a high roller field.
That equal weighting is a nice detail for anyone worried the whole thing skews toward big spenders.
Extra Rewards for Just Showing Up
CoinPoker has also built in $350,000 across three promotions that don’t depend on final results.
Comeback Lanes rewards players simply for staying active, handing out $250,000 in tournament tickets at set milestones, even without a single cash.
The Top 10 Leaderboards track each player’s best ten scores across High, Mid, and Low Tier events, sharing $80,000 in prizes between them.
And the Podium Race pays $20,000 to the five players who collect the most medal points by the end of the series.
A Bonus CoinMillion Weekend in September
CoinPoker’s regular CoinMillion event gets a GOPC edition on September 6 and 7, running as a two-day $215 tournament with a $1 million guarantee.
Two smaller companion events run alongside it that same day: a $55 CoinMinion guaranteeing $250,000, and an $11 Mini CoinMinion guaranteeing $100,000.
Getting Ready Before the Championship Starts
CoinPoker is launching a 3-Bet Club membership on August 17, just ahead of the GOPC, with perks including tournament discounts and Rewards Boosts for members who sign up early.
CoinPoker ambassadors are already excited about it. Mario Mosböck called it a shot at the best online poker series experience out there, and fellow ambassador Bencb has been spreading the word to his own following too.
Once the series closes out on September 28, CoinPoker’s total 2026 tournament payouts will pass $133 million, following a year that’s already included World Poker Masters, Battle of Malta Online, and ambassador Patrick “Pads” Leonard coaching World Series of Poker Main Event winner Lucas Jumalon to a title.
