Chelsea have signed SBS Scottish Women’s Premier League 1 Player of the Year, Jamie-Lee Napier, from Hibernian.
The 19-year-old Scotland international, who scored 22 times in 33 games for Hibs last season, has signed until 2021 and will officially join up with the Blues after the Christmas break.
Napier told chelseafc.com: “It feels amazing to be a Chelsea player and I’m delighted to have signed my first professional contract.
“From a young girl it’s been a dream and an aspiration of mine so I’m delighted that I’ve finally done it with such a successful club like Chelsea.”
Manager Emma Hayes is excited to welcome the talented wide player, saying: “She is a really bright prospect coming from Scotland. Her personality, her hard-working spirit and quality will add something to our squad.
‘It’s important that we keep developing younger players and she is one we have identified for the future.”
