Basement side Briton Ferry held out away to Cardiff Met until Ellie Walker-Smith broke the deadlock on 54 minutes.

Maddy Schupbach had a goal disallowed but soon got on the scoresheet afterwards when meeting a Rebecca Mathias cross

Swansea City had sealed the points by half time at Rhyl, going in for goals to the good.

Emma Beynon ended up hit a hat-trick and Katy Hosford was twice on target.

Rhyl remain two points off the bottom but have played three games more than Briton Ferry.

Meanwhile in the FAW Women’s Cup, Abergavenny won 2-0 at Cardiff City FC to set up a final clash with Cardiff Met. Kate Jeremiah got both goals at Goytre FC in the first half an hour, the second with a free kick.
