Cardiff City Women and Wrexham reach Bute Energy Wales Cup Final

Wrexham reached their first ever Bute Energy Wales Cup Final and will face Cardiff City Women, who knocked out Swansea City.

Swansea City 1-3 Cardiff City Women (Att: 268)
The New Saints 0-1 Wrexham (Att: 374)

Rosie Hughes scored the only goal of the game at the end of the first half, as Wrexham eliminated The New Saints. Mikayla Cook’s early opener for Cardiff City Women was soon cancelled out by the Swans Stacey John-Davis, before Bluebirds’ subs paid late dividends with both Megan Bowen and Molly Kehoe scoring. The final will be on Sunday 5 May, with the venue yet to be announced.

Felinheli 6-1 Rhyl
Llanfair United 3-8 Llandudno (Att: 52)

Kelsey Davies scored three times in a big away win for leaders Llandudno, Nel Huws also got three goals as Felinheli kept up the title chase by hitting Rhyl for six. Connah’s Quay Nomads were pegged back at 1-1 by NFA before ending up with a 3-1 result, to maintain their own promotion hunt.

Adran South

Pontardawe Town 2-1 Caldicot Town (Att: 50)

Pontardawe clinched a first win of the season, defeating Caldicot Town 2-1 to go level on points with them. Lucy McDonough opened the scoring for the visitors, Renee Day and Keira Harris hit back for the home side, after which Millie Pearce missed a penalty for Caldicot.

Bute Energy U-16s Cup Semi-Finals

Talycopa 2-7 Kinmel Bay
Johnstown 1-3 Cardiff Wanderers (Att: 110)

Lexi Walsh hit a double hat-trick as Kinmel Bay went through 7-2 at Talycopa, Sophie James scored twice in Cardiff Wanderers victory at Johnstown.
