Bronze Out, Bremer In At Man City Women

Lucy Bronze makes the switch to Lyon as part of the deal to bring Pauline Bremer to Manchester City.

Bronze helped Nick Cushing’s side to their first league title and second Continental Tyres Cup triumphs, whilst also playing a key role as City reached the semi-finals of the Champions League at the first attempt.

She made 59 appearances in sky blue in total, scoring 11 goals – including memorable strikes in the FA Cup and Continental Tyres Cup finals.

Incoming for City is 21-year-old German forward Pauline Bremer on a two-year deal.

City describe their new acquisition as a prolific, hard-working and technically gifted individual, dubbed ‘a star in the making’ at a young age and despite her youth, moves to Manchester boasting an already-glittering CV.

“I’m really happy to be here at Manchester City,” Bremer told CityTV. “I’m looking forward to the new season and taking on a new challenge.

“It’s such a big club and the facilities are great. I was so impressed by the whole Academy. The pitches are great, the gym is big… There are so many facilities.”
