Brighton & Hove Albion have signed 24-year-old goalkeeper Megan Walsh from Yeovil Town on a one-year deal.

Manager Hope Powell told the club’s website, “We are delighted to welcome someone of Megan’s experience to the club.

“She has a proven knowledge of playing at the highest level, and will bolster our options in the goalkeeping positions following the departures of Marie [Hourihan] and Lucy [Gillett].”

Walsh commented: “Working with Hope will be brilliant, as she’s a massive name within the women’s game and everyone listens to her because of who she is and her experience. She can improve any player and despite me being a goalkeeper, I’ll learn so much from her.”

As well as her 44 games with the Glovers, Walsh has also played in the FAWSL for Everton and Notts County, as well as representing Great Britain at the 2017 University Games and appearing in England youth teams up to under-23 level.
