Brighton & Hove Albion have signed Serbian international attacking midfielder Jelena Cankovic who has departed Chelsea after two seasons.
Čanković has 50 caps for her country, has Champions League experience and played 38 times for Chelsea with whom she won two WSL titles, while her other former clubs include Barcelona and Rosengard.
Head coach Dario Vidosic told brightonandhovealbion.com: “We’re delighted to bring a player of Jelena’s pedigree and experience to the club.
“She has already achieved so much in her career but is ready for a new chapter and excited by this challenge. Her experience and knowledge will be important in helping our squad grow and I am looking forward to working with her.”
