Arsenal had to come from behind after the break to beat Brighton & Hove Albion in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League.

Brighton shocked the Gunners by taking a 15th-minute lead, Innesa Kaagman’s free kick back-headed past Manuela Zinsberger by Emma Koivisto to end the Seagulls’ goal drought.

Arsenal turned the game on its head with two set-pieces of their own, in a five-minute spell before the hour mark.

Beth Mead’s free kick was bundled in by Vivianne Miedema, before Mead curled the next inside the far post.

The 2-1 result put Arsenal four points clear of second-placed Chelsea but from one match more.
