Manchester City won 2-0 at West Ham in the Barclays FA Women’s Super League to again pull level on points with third-placed Manchester United.

Kadija Shaw might have opened the scoring for Manchester City but was thwarted by goalkeeper Mackenzie Arnold, although Georgia Stanway soon had the visitors ahead.

Claudia Walker went close to an equaliser but in the second half Shaw headed home from a Caroline Weir corner to secure the victory.

Another win and another clean sheet sees City only trailing United on goal-difference by a measure of two, with each having four games to go.
