Aston Villa have signed Canadian international winger Adriana Leon from Manchester United on a two-year deal.
The 30-year-old is a very experienced international who played for her country at this summer’s World Cup.
She has played for several NWSL sides, as well as West Ham in the WSL before joining Manchester United last season.
Head coach Carla Ward told avfc.co.uk: “Adriana is someone we’ve monitored over the last 18 months and is someone who has displayed great pedigree in the Barclays WSL.”
“She can play off both sides and will add another dimension to our evolving group.”
“We’re delighted she’s committed her future to us and we’re all looking forward to working with her.”
