The London FA, in conjunction with the Girls’ Centres of Excellence of Arsenal FC and Millwall FC, runs an innovative new programme to provide support for London FA’s female referees.
On 12th May, ten of the London FA’s female referees will be officiating on three county female cup finals.
On the U-12 girls final between Ryan Youth and Hampstead at Pamiters Sports Ground in Chingford will be Athalia John and Nirvana Morgan.
The U-14 girls cup final will be officiated by Abi Oyeleke, Tyra Poole, Cydni Summers and Cindi Chatha, as Hampstead and Spurs battle for honours at Chase Lodge in Barnet.
Sarah Hobbs, Lou Panteli, Alexandra Lupano and Stephanie Lupano will be on duty for the U-16 final, in which Spurs meet Islington Borough at the Frederick Knight Sports ground in Tottenham.
These are the culmination of six cup finals the group have participated. The two other finals had Dana Joras and Ioana Muzuran officiating on previously.
This season has shown the commitment by our female Centre of Excellence to learning their trade and the rewards that can be achieved through their hard work.
The work of our mentors have helped establish a good training centre for those referees who wish to raise their game and push themselves toward promotion.
It has been a pleasure working with our female officials for the past two years and I wish them the very best in their future and say to them, ‘enjoy your day’.
