Lyon led away to Juventus as Lindsey Horan beat keeper Pauline Peyraud-Magnin to Wendie Renard’s long ball and slotted into the empty net. Lyon had Damaris Egurrola stretchered off before the break and Juve levelled soon after, when Melvine Malard knocked Barbara Bonansea’s cross past her own keeper.

Aitana Bonmatí struck twice in an 11-minute spell for Barcelona in Rosengard, the first from a Fridolina Rolfö cross. In first-half added time, Olivia Holdt pulled one back from outside the box. Mariona Caldentey got Barca’s third with a long-range chip and rounded off the scoring in stoppage-time.

Benfica were two up against Bayern Munich through Nycole Raysla and Cloe Lacasse, Maximiliane Rall and Stanway later wiping out the advantage. Benfica saw Ana Vitoria’s late penalty saved, before Stanway dramatically hit a 98th-minute winner.
