Big Wins For Bluebirds And Celtic

Sunday April 24th
WELSH WOMENS PREMIER LEAGUE

Cardiff City FC 11-0 Newcastle Emlyn
MBi Llandudno 3-10 Cwmbran Celtic
Port Talbot Town 0-1 Swansea City

One win from their last three games will be enough to see Swansea City again seal second spot in the Welsh Premier League, following a hard-fought single-goal success at Port Talbot Town yesterday. Sophie Hancocks found the net from outside the area around the half-hour mark.

Cardiff City FC are up to third with an 11-0 thrashing of relegated Newcastle Emlyn, who were eight goals down by the break. Kylie Nolan bagged four goals, Alicia Davies and Danielle Green a treble each, while the other was an own-goal.

Cwmbran were only 5 points ahead of Welsh Cup runners-up Llandudno before their meeting but nonetheless posted an amazing 10-3 away victory. Lois Regan led the way with a double hat-trick, Chloe Chivers had to settle for just three and Lauren Boyd got the other goal for Celtic.

There are three midweek matches, with Llandudno hosting Rhyl & Prestatyn on Tuesday, then on Thursday Cwmbran are home to Newcastle Emlyn and PILCS play Swansea in the League Cup final.
