Andy Mulligan New Sporting Khalsa Manager

Sporting Khalsa say that he brings with him 15 years experience within the women’s game, where he started out at Aston Villa Girls & Ladies FC. managing their Youth Teams, Reserves & 1st Team.

This led to him having two successful seasons at Dudley United, taking them to consecutive promotions.

More recently, in 2014/15 he was Coach at Leafield Athletic and helped lead them to achieve a strong third place finish. Last season, his involvement with Leafield was just for a handful of games as a coach on match days.

Mulligan said: “I am excited about the challenge of taking over at Sporting Khalsa and feel with the current crop of players and some additions we can continue to develop and move forward to have a successful season.”

The new manager will be supported by Assistant Steve Barrow, who took over the reins midway through last season and helped secure a third successive season in the FA Women’s Premier League.

Chairwoman Kelly Williams said: “We are really pleased to get Andy on board this season, he has a lot of experience within the women’s game and we know first hand how well drilled and difficult his sides are to play against.

“I am really pleased on how the management team has shaped up and believe the level of experience and skills within the team will compliment one another and significantly benefit our players this season.”
