In a change of venue for the forthcoming campaign, Rovers will play their games at the home of Evo-Stik League First Division North side Bamber Bridge F.C.
Boss Gemma Donnelly is pleased that the move has come to fruition and is looking forward to playing at the new venue.
“I’m really pleased to be moving to such an excellent facility that in the long-term could accommodate our aspirations of achieving WSL status,” said Donnelly.
“I have been wanting to be involved with Bamber Bridge for a number of seasons, it’s a great venue. I’m glad we’ve been able to make it happen and it’s somewhere we really want to be able to call our ‘home ground’.
“It will be good to have a venue for the foreseeable future that can meet not only our needs, but WSL requirements too. I am really looking forward to having an excellent working relationship with a club that can help propel us onto the next level in our journey towards top flight football.“
Rovers start with two away fixtures in the league but will make their home debut at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday 11th October 2016.
The ground is located roughly halfway between Lostock Hall train station and Bamber Bridge train station. Alternatively, the ground is easily accessible by car, located off the A6 and just minutes away from the M65 and M6 motorways.
