Since leaving Leicester, the club say Nat has built a solid reputation for herself in America as a ball-playing midfielder.
She helped Leicester City Women to many awards during her time at the club, including the 2011/12 Leicestershire FA County Cup. After leaving for America, Johnson has continued to pick up awards for her sporting achievements and hopes to carry on now she’s back in the UK.
She said; I’m extremely excited to rejoin the club having watched the great progress over the years. Its felt like I have never left and I am already enjoying my time back here. The current crop of girls are fantastic and I look forward to getting to know them more. I can’t wait to get started and I can’t wait to play my part within the club and the team to help push Leicester City Women FC forward.”
Manager, Jonathan Morgan said; “I am absolutely delighted to have Nat back. She came home from America for the Christmas break and trained with us and straight away I knew she was somebody I wanted to add to the First team if possible. I have had numerous conversations with Nat over the last 6 months and to be able to finally say she is back at Leicester is great not only for me but for the club.
“Nat brings with her a wealth of experience from America where she made quite a name for herself. She is an intelligent midfielder who likes to bring the ball down and play football. I look forward to coaching her and hopefully getting the best out of her for Leicester City.”
