Chelsea defeated Reading to retain the Barclays FA Women’s Super League title, while Bristol City were relegated following a loss at Brighton.

Chelsea champions again
Chelsea ran out 5-0 winners over Reading to make it back-to-back WSL titles.
The hosts could not have asked for a better start, as Melanie Leupolz scored with a first-time strike via a Jess Carter corner kick, just over a minute into the match.
The lead was doubled a couple of minutes before the break, Fran Kirby exchanging passes with Sam Kerr before firing into the top corner.
Despite a strong start to the second half by the Royals it was 3-0 on the break inside the hour mark, Kerr playing the ball to Kirby who rifled the ball home from the edge of the box.
The same combination made it 4-0, Kirby this time with a dinked pass and the league’s Golden Boot winner Kerr with the volley.
Erin Cuthbert came off the bench to get on the scoresheet, with Grace Moloney just unable to keep the ball from crossing the line.
Man City have to settle for second
Manchester City’s title hopes were gone with Chelsea in control but they did end with a victory at West Ham.
City should have gone in front in the first half but Caroline Weir was denied by the crossbar and missed a close-range opportunity, while a Sam Mewis penalty was well saved by Mackenzie Arnold after she brought down Ellen White.
White was the one to eventually find the net on 75 minutes, with a close-range shot from the cross by Lucy Bronze.
The Cityzens ended two points behind the champions.
Seagulls send Bristol City down
Bristol City are relegated to the Championship after a 3-1 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion, who themselves clinched sixth place.
The Robins suffered an early blow to their hopes of avoiding relegation, when Maya le Tissier scored following a seventh-minute corner.
A similar time into the second period and the Seagulls scored again, Lee Geum-Min with the angled finish.
City quickly responded though, Abigail Harrison bundling home at the far post off an Ebony Salmon header.
Brighton were to add a third, with Inessa Kaagman scoring direct from a free kick.
Graham grabs winner for Spurs
Tottenham took the points with a narrow win at Birmingham City, the Blues slipping to eleventh position.
Kit Graham broke the deadlock in the last 20 minutes from outside the box, which was enough for Spurs to sign off by ending a run of defeats.
Emily Murphy and Claudia Walker had shots blocked as the Blues tried to equalise, while Graham threatened to double the advantage from distance.
Villa hold Arsenal
Aston Villa claimed the point they knew would secure their status and in a very creditable goalless result away to Arsenal, which saw them up to tenth spot.
Villa kept the Gunners at bay during the first half thanks to Lisa Weiss making saves to keep out efforts from Jill Roord, Kim Little and Vivianne Miedema.
Leah Williamson went close after the interval, Miedema saw another chance saved and Lotte Wubben-Moy put a couple of efforts over the bar for the third-placed hosts.
Man Utd well clear in fourth
Manchester United scored early and late in the game to defeat Everton 2-0 and stretch the gap between them to 15 points.
The Reds were ahead in six minutes, Ella Toone netting from a Christen Press cross.
The points were sealed late on with Toone this time the provider, Kirsty Hanson heading home.
