Veatriki is from Chania, Crete where she began playing football aged 7. She joined a mixed team and played until the age of 13 when she then joined her home town team. AO Chania were then in the third division. Veatriki played there for 6 years having helped her team reach the 1st division after being promoted in consecutive seasons. At the age of 15 Veatriki was selected to represent her country. Veatriki remained in the Greek national squad playing at U-16, U-17 and U-19 level. Last year and at the tender age of 17 Veatriki made her full international debut.
Veatriki says of her signing “This year I am joining Leeds Ladies.I have always wanted to play football in England and Leeds has given me the chance to do so. For me Leeds is an opportunity to improve in a competitive environment while helping the team as much as possible to achieve its goals. I am impressed by the feedback and support I’ve received from the team so far and I am really looking forward to joining the team”.
