Liverpool 1-0 Doncaster Rovers Belles

The hosts dominated the majority of an entertaining first-half at the Select Security Stadium with Nicola Hobbs performing wonders between the sticks to ensure the visitors remained level.

Hobbs first denied Shanice van de Sanden before athletically tipping over a headed effort from Reds captain Gemma Bonner, who seconds later saw another chance cleared off the line.

The Belles remained a threat on the break and it was Siobhan Chamberlain who was forced into making the save of the game when she dived down low to her right to keep out Katrin Omarsdottir’s shot.

After a goalless first half it was Natasha Harding who broke the deadlock in spectacular style when she picked up a loose ball outside the Belles’ area before rifling a fine shot beyond the previously unbeatable Hobbs.

Bristol City 0-1 Everton

After giving Everton the lead with a ninth-minute penalty, Chloe Kelly nearly extended the advantage when she cut in from the left-hand side but Caitlin Leach stretched out an arm to deflect her shot away.

Bristol started to show more urgency after the break and Everton survived a goalmouth scramble just after the hour with a clutch of players inside the six-yard box but unable to force the ball home.

Everton were denied a second goal at the death when Grace McCatty’s goal-line clearance thwarted Michelle Hinnigan.

The win puts Everton within two points of the Vixens with a game in hand.
