What is the role?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head Development Phase Coach to work within our Regional Talent Club (RTC), coaching and assisting with the development of young elite females aged 12-16. The role of a Head Coach includes the responsibility of coordinating the monitoring and assessment of players within the RTC. You will also be involved in implementing and delivering coaching sessions.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who has the skills and ability to deliver coaching sessions in accordance with the RTC Development Phase technical syllabus and the motivation to ensure young players can reach their full potential. You will be qualified to a UEFA B Licence and the relevant age appropriate FA Certifications.

The competencies which are required include:

Essential:

• Experience working with elite female players

• Experience of working with a variety of school age groups

• Experience of working with a multi disciplinary team

• Experience of monitoring performance, and providing high quality feedback to players

• UEFA B License (minimum).

• Age appropriate F.A. Certification (FA Youth Modules 1 & 2)

• Member of the FA Licenced Coaches Club

• A recognised FA First Aid qualification 

• A current FA Safeguarding Children Workshop certificate

• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team on your own

• Experience working with development phase aged players.

• An ability to work under pressure and use your initiative in challenging circumstances

• A good communicator both verbally and written

• IT literate 

• Have knowledge and understanding of child development and be sensitive to children’s needs

• Willingness to work weekends and training events when required

• Commitment to your own personal development 

• Own transport essential 

• An understanding of Talent Identification processes

• An appreciation of Long Term Athletic Development

• A current FA Safeguarding Children Workshop certificate

Desirable:

• FA Youth Award Module 3

What do you get in return?

£32.50 per hour for training sessions

£65.00 per matchday
