Blackburn Rovers won the Northern Diviison top of the table clash at Middlesbrough, to move three points clear with two games in hand. Natasha Fenton fired the visitors in front from distance 11 minutes in, at the changed venue of Middlesbrough College. While Danielle Hill managed to keep Boro out at the other end, Saffron Jordan doubled Rovers lead nine minutes before the break. Bianca Owens halved the deficit from the spot with eight minutes remaining but Blackburn took all three points back to Lancashire.

Luton Town pulled off a good 4-2 win at second-placed South East Division 1 side AFC Wimbledon. Jodie Bellinger shot them ahead after just a couple of minutes but Laura Low levelled on the half-hour. Shanice Jiminez restored the advantage from long range by half time, only for the Dons to equalise from the penalty spot through Jess Trimnell. The Hatters took the lead for the third time, when Jess McKay found the net from distance and then teenager Bellinger secured the victory with her second of the game.

Blackburn Rovers continued their defence of the Reserves League Cup by coming from behind to win 2-1 at Cardiff City in extra-time. Ria Montgomery pulled them level before Alice Adams hit the decider.

MK Dons also reached the semi-finals following a 3-1 victory over Nottingham Forest. Sarah Harrison got a brace as the home side built a 3-0 lead. Frankie Wilson replied for Forest after the Dons had a player sent off.
