Experienced 25-year-old Australian international attacker, Caitlin Foord, has joined Arsenal Women from Sydney FC.
She was awarded ‘Best Young Player’ of the tournament at the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Germany when aged just 16 and has since featured for her national side on 77 occasions.
Asian Women’s Young Footballer of the year in 2011 and AFC Women’s Footballer of the year in 2016, Foord has also won the W-League Premiership twice, as well as having spells with Perth Glory, Sky Blue FC, Vegalta Sendai and Portland Thorns.
Arsenal head coach, Joe Montemurro told www.arsenal.com: “I’m very pleased that Caitlin has joined us. I have watched her growth in the W-League and she is versatile and a great character. We are excited to welcome her when she joins up with the squad.”
