Guarino Gets Juve Job

Italian giants Juventus FC have appointed former international Rita Guarino as the first ever Head Coach of their women’s team.

Guarino, a five-time Scudetto and Coppa Italia winner as a player, has signed a one-year contract and will take charge of the Bianconeri for what will be a historic, inaugural campaign in Serie A.

Internationally, she has appeared in two World Cup and three European Championships, scoring 35 times and falling just one game short of 100 appearances.

She joins Juventus after a successful period in charge of Italy’s U-17 side.

Juve had only previously had girls’ youth teams but now will compete against the likes of reigning champions Fiorentina.
