She Kicks Back – Jenna Schillaci (Spurs)

Last weekend was a big one for Tottenham Hotspur’s Jenna Schillaci: birthday on Saturday, followed by an FA Cup tie at Notts County’s Meadow Lane on Sunday.

4 Position (and have you always played there)? Centre back. I have also played left back and left midfield

5 Team Supporter / Fave player? I support Tottenham Hotspur and my favourite ever player is David Ginola

6. Occupation / or what are you studying? Bookings Officer for The London Playing Fields Foundation

7 Are there other footballers in your family? My two brothers, one had a spell at Watford and the other played for Stevenage.

8 Favourite game played in by you (and why)? It has to be the recent game against Notts County at Meadow Lane, we were always going to be the underdog but everyone gave it their all and we proved we can compete with Super League teams, we done our selves proud.

9 Your best attribute as a player? I have a good understanding and reading of the game.

10 What are your ambitions in football? Ambitions for this season are to win our league [FAWPL Southern Division] and the Ryman League Cup

11 Who has been the biggest influence in your footballing career? My parents, our manager Karen Hills and our coach Juan Carlos Amoros

12 What is the best thing about playing for your team? Our team spirit this season is the best it’s ever been.

13 If you got to design your team’s kit, what would it look like? As a Spurs fan, I’m happy with the kit we get to wear each season!

14 Do you listen to music to get you motivated, or while you train – if so, what tracks? It varies depending on who is in charge of the Ipod, anything from house music to….. Justin Bieber.

15 Who, that plays for your team, should we know more about and why? Lucia Leon, she has everything in her locker. She is getting better each game and is still only 17 years old!
