Woburn Lionesses U-16s capped an almost perfect season on Sunday as they defeated Garston 4-0 at AFC Kempston in proper cup final weather for a change.

Goals From Rosie White-McColl, Millie Glenn Molly Hughes and Georgie Payne (typical centre-forward, claiming a touch on the line) brought victory in the Beds and Herts League Cup Final.
This added to the League title, secured in the penultimate game at Flitwick Eagles and the County Cup, with the squad also split winners and runners-up in the League Futsal Tournament.
Four trophies in one season was the stuff of dreams eight months ago and it may take a while to sink in.
The twenty-five competitive games seeing the girls score 143 times and concede 17. The only blip on a season that is the club’s and all of the girls greatest, is they did actually only win 24 of the 25 games but that was just one bad day!
The feat all the more remarkable in that over half the squad are U-15s.
