ICA Sports FC report that their first girls football development sessions a few months back will become nine squads by the end of the year!
Only six months ago, Peterborough-based ICA Sports hosted their first girls football development sessions for U-8s, established to complement the male offering at the club.
The vision was for this team to be the start of the future of female youth football at the club to form a strong foundation to grow from.
However, as news spread of the structures the club have put in place and with a robust plan to develop their recently purchased land into a new playing facility, new interest levels grew significantly.
ICA Sports FC female section will grow to a staggering 9 squads by the end of the year and will cover basic skill development, league and advanced development session for girls from 3 years old right through to adult football.
Once these 9 squads are up and running, the next stage will be to implement further development work, which will see girls’ league squads added at every age group for the 2017/18 season.
