Actonians edged Leyton Orient 1-0 in the Capital Women’s Senior Cup Final, played at Hanwell Town FC on Thursday 2 May.
A goalless first half saw Orient create more chances, including one for Suaila Queni just before the break, but Actonians goalkeeper Paige Horsnell was in fine form.
The deadlock was finally broken a dozen minutes from full time, when Jessica Byrne’s long-range strike hit the back of the O’s net.
