Chelsea FC Women will complete the signing of Ali Riley from FC Rosengard next month.
The Blues say that the 30-year-old New Zealand international will remain at the Swedish club until their fixture calendar reaches its mid-season break in the middle of July.
The defender/midfielder has been capped 95 times by the Football Ferns.
Riley joined FC Rosengård in 2012 and helped them win three league titles and three cup competitions.
Speaking to fcrosengard.se ahead of the move, she said: “After almost 7 seasons here I am ready for new challenges and new experiences.
“I feel that I have to take this opportunity to challenge myself and play for a club that is one of the world’s largest football brands.”
