England were grouped with Poland, Spain and Italy in this morning’s draw for the UEFA Women’s U-17 Championship finals in Lithuania.

The host nation will have to tackle holders Germany, Finland and Netherlands in order to progress to the knockout stages.

The tournament runs from 9 to 21 May, with the top two in each group progressing to the semi-finals.

The two eventual finalists, plus the winner of a play-off between the two beaten semi-finalists, will qualify for the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup from 13 November 1 to December in Uruguay.
