Farrow back with Bristol City Women on Permanent Deal

Bristol City have signed Millie Farrow on a permanent deal, the 21-year-old having spent time on loan originally with the Vixens during the 2016 WSL 2 campaign.

During her loan spell, she scored 11 goals in 16 appearances helping the Vixens secure promotion back to WSL 1.

A serious knee injury sustained in April 2017 meant Farrow’s time at the club ended, after she had returned for a second loan spell for the Spring Series, the young forward returned to Chelsea where she has been undergoing rehab ever since.

An England youth international, the 21-year-old has represented England at U-19 and U-23 level.

Upon returning to Bristol City permanently, Farrow said: “I’m really happy and I can’t wait to get going. It’s fantastic to be back with the squad, and I’m grateful to Willie and the club for the opportunity.

“I would like to thank the medical team and all of the staff at Chelsea for helping me with my rehab.

“I feel like I’ve had a lost time at this club through injury and I’m looking forward to being back and hopefully scoring lots of goals.”

Bristol City head coach Willie Kirk added: “I’m delighted to have Millie back at the club, we all know what she can do and now she is approaching full fitness I am looking forward to getting her back on the pitch.

“She adds another dimension to our forward line, which I think we need and she has settled back in seamlessly here. She is a great character and larger than life, she complements this group really well.”
