London City Lionesses have confirmed the signing of midfielder Malou Marcetto.

The move had been rumoured earlier in the transfer window and was confirmed on Tuesday afternoon.

The 22-year-old Dane arrives from Liga F club Madrid CFF and has signed a deal to keep her at the club until the summer of 2028.

Marcetto began her career at Brøndby IF in Denmark’s A-Liga after progressing through the club’s academy, making 51 senior appearances between 2020 and 2023, scoring nine goals in the 2021-2022 season to help her team finish third in the league.

She then moved to Dijon FCO in France’s D1 Féminine before transferring to Madrid CFF in the summer of 2024, where she has since made 40 league appearances, contributing five goals and seven assists and was a consistent performer.

Internationally, Marcetto has represented Denmark at under-16, under-17, under-19 and under-23 age groups.
