Liverpool women have made their second signing in January and once again they have done business with BK Häcken, as goalkeeper Jennifer Falk has joined the club on a season-long loan.
Falk follows former teammate Alice Bergstrom who joined on the 2nd of January.
Who is Jennifer Falk?
Liverpool’s latest signing is one of the highest rated goalkeepers from Sweden.
Jennifer Falk made her way through the lower leagues before enjoying her breakout season in 2020. Falk was key in her team’s first ever title-winning campaign, keeping 14 clean sheets in 22 games.

The 33-year-old joined BK Häcken in 2016 and 10 years down the line she is still very much a part of the setup.
Last season Falk was named Goalkeeper of the Year in Sweden as she helped her team to their second title.
England fans will be familiar with the Swedish number one, as she caused the Lionesses trouble at Euro 2025 last year.
Falk saved four penalties in the Euros quarter-final but her heroics weren’t quite enough. Yashin Trophy winner Hannah Hampton kept five penalties out as England advanced to the semi-finals.
WSL dream come true for Jennifer Falk
Speaking in her first interview after joining Liverpool, Falk said: “I’m very happy and very excited. It’s been a dream I’ve had to play in this league and this is a really big club, so I’m really happy.
“I think the environment here is amazing, it’s very cosy but it’s big and it has everything that you could need. It was a nice feeling just seeing everything.
“I always try to be myself and I am very vocal and driven, and I’ll just try to do the same things here that I have done before.”
Can Falk save Liverpool’s season?
Liverpool have been dreadful this season and it is no surprise they are making moves in January.
The Reds are rock bottom of the WSL coming out of the winter break but there is still hope for the team.
With the WSL expanding to 14 teams in 2026, only the club that finishes bottom will be relegated this year. Liverpool are only two points behind West Ham, but the pair look set to fight it out for a place in the top flight next season.
Liverpool conceded 21 goals before Christmas, the third worst difference in the league this year.
Although she was one of the highest rated goalkeepers in 2025, Falk has never played club football outside of Sweden and adjusting to the WSL may be a big shock.
If Liverpool can sure things up at the back then they will have a shot at staying up, but they may still need to bring in another attacker to help their scoring issues.
