Everton have recalled one of their youngest stars from loan this season with Issy Hobson returning to the club from Nottingham Forest.
The 17-year-old is still learning the ropes in professional football and was gaining valuable experience in WSL2.
Hobson graduated from Everton’s academy at the beginning of last season and began her career with a good spell in the WSL.
The defender famously scored a last minute equaliser against Arsenal in her first start. Her goal made Hobson the youngest goal scorer in WSL history at the time.
💙 Nothing beats a late, late goal – especially when it’s scored by a 16-year-old Everton Season Ticket Member making her debut in royal blue.

There is certainly some excitement surrounding the teenager’s future in England, especially after breaking into the Everton team at such a young age.
After featuring in eight games for the Toffees last year, Hobson was sent out on loan to Sheffield United.
With the Blades, Hobson made six appearances in the Championship.
Everton decided to loan their starlet out again at the beginning of this season but Brian Sorensen has recalled Hobson this week to provide defensive cover.
What next for Everton?
Everton kicked off their season with a convincing win against Liverpool.
However since the Merseyside derby, Everton’s season has dropped right off and the Toffees look likely to be in a relegation scrap.
Three league losses in a row have left Brian Sorensen’s team lost in the WSL and the manager has admitted that his side is ‘still finding their feet’.
Although it has been a slow start to the campaign for Everton there is still plenty of time for them to turn their season around.
The return of Hobson is sure to be a welcome one for Sorensen and the teenager could make her season debut for the Toffees against Leicester on Sunday.
