Manchester City vs London City Lionesses preview
After defeat to Chelsea in their WSL curtain raiser, Manchester City have been phenomenal in the WSL.
The Cityzens edged past Brighton in a nervy 2-1 win next before following up with a much more emphatic 5-1 victory over in-form Tottenham.
It’s not just the league that City have been on fire though. Andrée Jeglertz’ team was in action during the week and they got their League Cup campaign off to a flyer against Everton in another convincing win.

While City appear to be firing on all cylinders once again, last year’s golden boot winner Khadija Shaw is struggling with just one goal in three appearances.
London City Lionesses have started life in the top division with a mixed bag of results. After defeats to Arsenal and Manchester United the newly-promoted team got their first points in the WSL with a win against Everton.
The Lionesses were also in cup action during the week and they came from behind to beat Crystal Palace in their opener.
While City are short favourites to win on Sunday, London City have proved to be tough opponents already this year and could cause their opposition some troubles on the road.
Manchester City vs London City Lionesses Team news
Andrée Jeglertz was full of praise for Canadian youngster Jade Rose in the week and the 22-year-old may have earned a start.
City rested the majority of their stars in the cup and after a comfortable win all should return to the lineup, including Khadija Shaw.
After being rested in the cup, Isobel Goodwin is expected to make an immediate return to the starting XI following her brace last weekend.
Goodwin will be joined up front by Nikkita Paris who was on the scoresheet against Crystal Palace on Wednesday.
Club-record signing Grace Geyoro impressed in the cup and could earn her first league start.
Predicted lineups
Manchester City: Keating; Prior, Rose, Greenwood, Casparij; Hasegawa, Clinton, Miedema; Fujino, Shaw, Hemp
London City Lionesses: Lete; Sangare, Kumagai, Fernandez, Imuran, Linari; Corrales, Asllani, Geyoro; Goodwin, Parris.
Manchester City vs London City Lionesses prediction
Although City are well fancied to beat London City Lionesses this weekend, we think the new WSL side can cause an upset.
With back to back wins the Lionesses will be brimming with confidence and they could just nick a result.
There is no doubt that this game has goals in it though and here at SheKicks we are calling a 2-2 draw in what should be a close game.
Prediction: Manchester City 2-2 London City Lionesses
