The Gunners have named their squad for the tour but some huge stars from Euro 2025 won’t be in attendance.

Arsenal name pre-season squad

With just under two weeks before the WSL campaign starts Arsenal are intensifying their pre-season preparations.

The Gunners are heading to Adidas Headquarters in Herzogenaurach where they will reportedly play one behind closed door friendly.

Once they return from Germany Arsenal are set to have three more pre-season friendlies before their WSL campaign gets underway on September 6th.

After finishing second to Chelsea again last season, Arsenal will be amongst the favourites with betting sites to upset the six-time consecutive champions.

Renée Slegers has named 29 players who will make the trip to Germany.

While plenty of stars from Euro 2025 have rejoined the Arsenal squad, some key names have been left out for the pre-season trip.

Arsenal and England captain Leah Williamson is still recovering from a knee injury sustained in Switzerland.

Although she isn’t playing in Germany, Williamson remains at Arsenal’s training ground where she will continue her preparations for the season.

Swiss midfielder Lia Walti suffered from a much more serious injury last year. Walti underwent abscess surgery this summer after being left on life support last season and will be unavailable for the foreseeable future.

Kim Little and Jessie Gale were both left behind for the pre-season trip with unspecified knocks.

The good news for Arsenal is that Euro 2025 stars including Alessia Russo, Chloe Kelly, Lotte Wubben-Moy, Beth Mead, Michelle Agyemang and Mariona Caldentey have all made the trip.
