West Ham women appoint Adam Jeffrey as new assistant manager

West Ham have appointed a new assistant manager to the women’s team with Adam Jeffrey taking over ahead of the new campaign.

Adam Jeffrey already has experience in the world of women’s football having spent the last two seasons with Crystal Palace in an assistant role.

The Eagles gained promotion to the WSL under Jeffrey’s guidance in 2023/24 when they won the Championship.

“I’m proud to join West Ham United,” he said. “It’s a privilege to be part of such a historic Club with a strong identity, a passionate fan base and clear ambitions for growth and success in the women’s game.

“From the moment I arrived, I’ve felt the hunger and determination within the group, and I’m excited to contribute to a team that wants to push boundaries and compete at the highest level.

“I’m committed to helping the players develop, play a positive and dynamic style of football and build something really special here in east London.”

Last season the Hammers finished ninth in the WSL and with the new expansion threatening two teams with relegation they will need to improve this year.

Mark Skinner welcomes new assistant to West Ham

West Ham boss, Mark Skinner, was quick to send a welcome message to his new assistant.

“I’m delighted to welcome Adam to the Club,” she said. “Adam has a wealth of experience in the women’s game, and his attention to detail is something that will be invaluable when implementing our style of play on the grass.

“Adam lives and breathes football. His passion for the game is infectious, and I have no doubt that his winning mentality will be a huge asset for the group moving forwards.”

The 2025/26 WSL season is now just around the corner and with the Hammers kicking off the new campaign against Tottenham in a matter of weeks, there isn’t long for Jeffrey to familiarise himself with the team.

West Ham are yet to make any significant summer signings with Sarah Brasero the only confirmed transfer so far.
