Ella Toone looks back to her very best this summer, with the Manchester United and England superstar shining in Switzerland at Euro 2025.
After England lost to France in their opening game of the tournament Ella Toone was one of the stars sacrificed from Sarina Wiegman’s starting XI.
The Lioness was still able to show her quality off the bench though, with an impressive late goal sinking the Netherlands.
Ella Toone returns to form against Wales
Sarina Wiegman restored England’s number 10 back into the lineup for their final group game and with another goal and two assists against Wales on Sunday night, Toone took her tournament total to four goal contributions in just three games.
Speaking after England’s win against Wales, Toone discussed her mentality at Euro 2025 and how she is playing her very best football at the moment.
“I feel like I’m in a really good place, I’ve missed this Ella Toone. I’ve not had it for a while. I feel like I’m really coming into it and I’m really enjoying it.” The 25-year-old said. “I love playing with these girls, I love the football that we play.

“I feel like I’m in a good mindset and enjoying my football and that’s when I’m probably playing my best so it was nice to get two assists and another goal tonight. Hopefully I can keep continuing in that form.”
Having recovered from a slightly disappointing performance against France in the Lionesses first game of the tournament, Toone now looks irreplaceable heading into the knockout stage.
The 25-year-old is now tied for third in the assist rankings at Euro 2025 after her two against Wales.
With two goals as well, the Manchester United midfielder is still in contention for the Golden Boot this summer with the current tournament leader on four.
Ella Toone & England Euro 2025 odds
After reaching the quarter finals, England are now priced at 4/1 to win Euro 2025 with the UK’s best betting sites.
Ella Toone still has a good chance of picking up some individual awards this summer and although she is still two behind the current top scorer, England’s number 10 is 33/1 to win the golden boot.
With Beth Mead sharing the golden boot at Euro 2022, a second title in a row for the Lionesses would be a historic double.
