England Women beat Jamaica 7-0 in a friendly on Sunday afternoon and here we give our player ratings for the Lionesses from their final game before Women’s Euro 2025.

England Women player ratings vs Jamaica

Hannah Hampton (6/10)

England’s new No. 1 had relatively little to do during the contest. Did see the ball go into the back of her net once but the goal was disallowed after a Jamaica player stood in an offside position while blocking Hampton’s view of the shot.

Lucy Bronze (8/10)

Got herself into some dangerous attacking positions and headed in England’s second goal. Chased down every ball and was rarely troubled by Jamaica’s attackers.

Leah Williamson (7/10)

Grew into the game after looking a bit sloppy in possession during the early stages. Looked comfortable on the ball and always looked up to find the best pass.

Alex Greenwood (7/10)

Made a mistake in the build-up to Jamaica’s goal which was overturned but other than that she looked calm and assured on the ball. Greenwood has an excellent partnership with Leah Williamson.

Jess Carter (8/10)

Made a tremendous challenge to deny Kameron Simmonds a goalscoring opportunity. Also produced an excellent cross for her fellow full-back Lucy Bronze to head in England’s second goal.

Keira Walsh (8/10)

Some excellent work on the ball from the Chelsea midfielder who dictated play with some nice short and snappy passing. The England midfield was given more space than they will be allowed at the Women’s Euros.

Georgia Stanway (7/10)

Made just her second start since December but looked like she hadn’t missed a day of action. Was very sharp and finished well to make it 4-0 after some pinball inside the Jamaica box.

Ella Toone (9/10 – Player of the Match)

Cemented her role in the N0. 10 role for the upcoming Euros with two goals. Her first was a brilliant curling effort from outside the box and she did the same from just inside the box and off the post to make it 3-0 just before half-time.

Beth Mead (7/10)

Was fortunate that Jamaica’s goal which would have made it 1-1 was overturned as her poor marking contributed to it. However, she showed excellent link-up play with Alessia Russo and scored England’s seventh and final goal.

Alessia Russo (7/10)

Worked hard to get a goal, hitting the crossbar with a thunderous effort before firing wide when the goal was at her mercy. Got her goal in the second-half to make it 5-0 after an excellent Lauren James cross.

Lauren Hemp – 8/10

Dangerous all evening as she showed some great pace down the left-flank and the post denied her an excellent goal from outside the box.

Substitutes

Esme Morgan (6/10 – on for Alex Greenwood ’63)

Comfortably settled in at centre-back alongside Leah Williamson. Didn’t have much to given the extent of England’s dominance in the second-half.

Lauren James (8/10 – on for Ella Toone ’63)

Made an impact off the bench and didn’t take long to set up England’s fifth goal and could have had a couple more assists to her name.

Chloe Kelly (6/10 – on for Lauren Hemp ’63)

Was brought on to play in a more untraditional left-wing role but did put in some nice crosses.

Aggie Beever Jones (6.5/10 – on for Alessia Russo ’75)

Should have scored when her shot from close range was excellently tipped wide by Liya Brooks. However, she made amends when she poked the ball home from another dangerous cross.

Niamh Charles (6.5/10 – on for Lucy Bronze ’75)

Played at right-back rather than her traditional side on the left flank but she got an assist to her name after a dangerous cross.

Grace Clinton (6/10 – on for Keira Walsh ’75)

Showed plenty of energy and desire to get herself involved during her limited cameo.
