Rangers are set to confirm the exit of manager Jo Potter after two years at the Scottish club as she closes in on a new job.
Multiple reports have claimed that Rangers have given permission for the 40-year-old to leave.
Meanwhile, the BBC have reported that Potter is set to become the manager of Crystal Palace. The Eagles are on the hunt for a manager after their relegation from the Women’s Super League.
Rangers were understood to be reluctant to let her leave, but are set to receive compensation for her services.
The Scottish club was Potter’s first managerial role after retiring as a player. Her expected move to Palace comes a year before her Rangers contract was due to expire.
As a player, she represented clubs including Arsenal, Birmingham City and Everton. The former midfielder also made 35 senior caps for England between 2004 and 2017, scoring three goals.

Which clubs are without a manager?
Crystal Palace are one of several clubs without a permanent manager following the 2024-25 WSL season, amid reports they are expected to hire Jo Potter.
The two most high-profile jobs currently available are that of Manchester City and Liverpool.
City sacked their head coach Gareth Taylor five days before their Women’s League Cup final defeat to Chelsea. Nick Cushing was placed as interim manager, but City just missed out on qualifying for the Champions League.
Liverpool sacked Matt Beard in February, with interim Amber Whiteley guiding the Reds to seventh in the WSL. While Beard has found a new job at third-tier Burnley, Liverpool are yet to announce a new permanent manager.
Tottenham are also without a manager after they sacked Robert Vilahamn at the end of the 2024-25 season. Tottenham were second-bottom out of the 12 WSL teams, finishing 10 points above Crystal Palace.
How did Jo Potter perform as Rangers manager?
Jo Potter has won four major trophies during her time as Rangers manager but failed to win the Scottish Women’s Premier League.
Rangers won the Scottish Women’s Cup and the Scottish Women’s Premier League Cup in both of her seasons in charge.
However, the league title was out of reach for the Scottish side. In 2023-24, they lost out to Celtic on goal difference, while in 2024-25 they finished six points behind champions Hibernian.
