Former Chelsea and England goalkeeper Carly Telford welcomed the 10 teams at the stadium she previously laced her boots for what was described as the ultimate women’s grassroots tournament.
Chelsea women’s energy drinks partner Reign Storm hosted the tournament in collaboration with media platform VERSUS.
The tournament was stacked with talented teams including Romance FC, FC Mollan, Phoenix FC, She’s Got Skills UK, and Wonderkid FC.

Who won the grassroots football tournament at Stamford Bridge?
Hackney-based Wonderkid FC were crowned champions after beating She’s Got Skills UK in the final on penalties.
The LGBTQIA+ inclusive team enjoyed the success on the back of winning the Super 5 grassroots five-a-side Division One title in Hackney back in January.
Wonderkid FC celebrated the victory on Instagram writing: “Iconic Friday night under the lights at Stamford Bridge Wonderkid CHAMPIONS.”
FC Mollan, who traveled from Malmo, beat South London Laces to finish third in the competition.
Emma Watson of FC Mollan was named as the Player of the Tournament. Watson wrote on X: “Not in my wildest imagination could I believe that FC Möllan would play at Stamford Bridge, controlled by Chelsea and VERSUS.
“Nor that I would win the player of the tournament for my jumping and hooting. The sickest night of our lives. Football is easy.”
A statement on the Versus website said: “With the biggest summer in European women’s football on the horizon (Euro 2025), the Reign Storm tournament showcased exactly why the grassroots scene is the heartbeat of the game.”
Chelsea Women and Reign Storm signed a multi-year partnership in September. The deal saw the clean energy drink become the Official Energy Drinks Partner for the WSL champions.
The Blues underwent an undefeated season to become champions in 2024-25. A number of their players have been included in Sarina Wiegman’s squad for Euro 2025 including Lauren James.
